Del Mar Fair Photography Exhibition... Crossing my fingers!!

Back in April, I decided to submit a couple of my photos to this years San Diego Fair Photography Exhibition. (Growing up here, it was always called the Del Mar Fair, but they recently over the years have changed it to the San Diego Fair. Still getting used to that). I am sort of anxious because tonight is the Artist's Reception where we are allowed to see, before the Fair starts, if our photos have made it passed the Tier 2 judging. It had two tiers of judging to go through, and I have no idea if I made it. Either way, I am going to share it here. Hope you like it.

A friend of mine started this project called I AM _______. I am so blessed to be living my dreams every day, and it just makes me so happy to wish something for myself and have it accomplished. It's incredible what you can set your mind to, and have whatever it is come to pass. It's one of the BEST feelings in the world. I used to think that a lot of great things I wanted in my life were unattainable, or some things seemed merely a dream. So close and yet so far. That's far from the truth.. It's amazing to have awesome friends that see something more in me, and push me to be MORE than my best. (Thanks Michelle... And thanks Bryan)! Here's a link to the I AM project I worked on. It is essentially "A project to inspire vision, a community to inspire boldness to take action on that vision."  Hope this inspires you! It all starts with a thought... so think BIG!

Kent Shultz Home Brewing... Mmmm!

So, this is by no means, a tutorial on how to brew beer. I think I need to take a whole semester on that to learn the whole chemistry and process. A good friend of mine brews his own beer at his sweet downtown San Diego apartment, and I stopped by one Saturday to capture some of the process! I'll try to explain some of what's going on in the photos, but more importantly (captured in my photos), brewing beer is truly an art... or science... or both. I'm proud to say that this intelligent young man, Kent is an amazing brewer and comes up with the most scrumptious beer recipes. For almost every holiday, he concocts a variety of beers to celebrate festivities! How fun is that?! It's fun I tell ya. He has even entered and placed in local brewing contests! Watch out for his up and coming delectable beers!!

Kelly + David Photoshoot

This beautiful couple is engaged! And guess who got to shoot their photos as a second??! You can see my photo inspiration from fellow photo enthusiast Tina... All in all it was a fun time at Old Poway Park. These photos turned out more wonderful than I could imagine, and some are so dreamlike! Kelly and David have such great chemistry, and I wish them the best time ever for their upcoming wedding in August and their new lives together!
